Real Madrid announced Rodrygo’s contract renewal this Thursday. The 22-year-old Brazilian striker extended his contract with the Spanish club until June 2028, three seasons longer than the previous agreement. According to the Spanish press, a termination fine of 1 billion euros (R$5.3 billion) is included, like Vinicius Junior, who renewed until 2027.

Rodrygo arrived at Real Madrid in 2019, coming from Santos and after turning 18 years old, in a transfer worth 45 million euros (around R$195 million at the time). The Merengues have won a Club World Cup, a Champions League, a European Super Cup, two LaLiga trophies and a Spanish Super Cup.
Rodrygo has played 179 games for Real Madrid, having scored 39 goals and 30 assists.
