Fluminense will wear ‘old’ uniform in duel against The Strongest

O Fluminense face the The Strongest this Thursday (25), from 19h (from Brasilia), with live transmission by ESPN on Star+. And Tricolor will have an unusual problem for the duel.

Despite having already launched the 2023/24 uniform line, the club will have the previous model in the match due to a logistical problem.

The team arrived in La Paz a few hours before the start of the match, in a strategy that tries to reduce the effects of altitude on the players. The sports material, however, had problems with shipment and did not arrive in the city.

“Fluminense will use today, in the game against The Strongest, the second shirt from the 22/23 collection. The change was necessary due to a problem in the shipment of the material”, wrote the club in a note.

Today’s match would mark the debut of Flu’s 2023/24 line in CONMEBOL Libertadores. The last match of the previous line was precisely against river plate.

Tricolor is leader of group D, with 9 points won out of 9 possible. If you win your match, the team will be ranked first for the Libertadores knockout.
