Losing players on FIFA dates has become commonplace since 2019, when the club assembled a star-studded squad. The concern of the fans became routine in relation to the team’s performance in times of call-up for national team games.

According to survey of ge, since 2020, Flamengo has played 17 matches in the Brazilian Championship with absences due to FIFA dates and has had eight wins, six defeats and three draws. A use of exactly 52.9%. See the team’s overview:

On the FIFA date held between September 2 and 9, 2021, Flamengo was not affected by the loss of athletes, as it had the week free of games – there was a break in the Brazilian Championship. In the first team commitment this year, between January 27th and February 2nd, the team played the first rounds of the Carioca Championship, however, with the youth team.
Of all the players who are still at Flamengo and who were absent from the club during the team’s game periods, Arrascaeta and Éverton Ribeiro were the ones who were left out of the team’s matches the most. The shirt 7 lost 16 games, while the Uruguayan lost 15; Gabigol follows close behind, missing by 10.

The best use of Flamengo in the periods in which it was lacking was during the first FIFA date of 2020, when it made four matches and reached 83.3% of use. Also in the same year, it reached the second worst mark in three years, reaching 16.6% in two games.
During the 2021 Copa América, the Carioca club reached 42.8% approval in seven games. In the three matches played in October of the same year, the team had a 77.7% success rate. In 2022, Flamengo lost the only game they played without Arrascaeta.
