No player from that campaign is part of the Cruzeiro group in 2022. Four of them are even without a club: forward Sass, midfielder Thiago Neves, midfielder Henrique and defender Ded.

Two other characters from that disastrous campaign have retired. Former striker Fred, also seen as a reference within the group for his football experience, hung up his boots in Julyin Fluminense.

A month earlier, former captain Abel Braga had left Tricolor Carioca to end the career.

On the other hand, some youngsters from that Cruzeiro appear in other teams, even in Europe. This is the case of midfielder Ederson, currently at Atalanta in Italy. The midfielder Maurcio, in turn, currently shines with the shirt of Internacional de Porto Alegre.
