Artistic gymnastics was one of the modalities in dispute and guaranteed good results.

With a new regulation, which excluded the choice of a fixed headquarters and promoted the holding of the dispute over three months, the 64th edition of the Regional Games of the 4th Sports Region of the State of So Paulo came to an end last weekend, with the consecration of Indaiatuba’s third championship in the competition. The decision came on the final stretch, with the cycling and artistic gymnastics competitions.

Indaiatuba finished the competition with a total of 165 points, four more than Rio Claro, in second place. The third position went to Campinas, with 151 points, followed by Americana, with 109, and Mogi Guau, with 98.

Conquering the third championship of the Regional Games, after two years stopped due to the pandemic, an even greater source of pride for our city. Proof that the athletes remained prepared and motivated to return, whenever possible, honoring the Indaiatuba tradition in the competition, highlights Mayor Nilson Gaspar. Congratulations to everyone who participated in the Regional Games, athletes, coaches, trainers, in short, everyone involved in this important achievement.

Even after two years away from the Regional Games, our high performance athletes maintained their preparation and achieved excellent results in this return, proving once again the excellence of their work, highlights the municipal secretary of Sports, Marcos Antnio de Moraes, Marquinhos . Thank you very much for believing in the project of this secretariat and in the support offered by the municipal administration.

The 64th edition of the Regional Games was, without a doubt, the most difficult and required the greatest effort from the entire team, emphasizes the coordinator of the Department of Competitive Sports, Rafael de Oliveira e Silva. The competition system in many cities and other novelties in the regulations were obstacles that we were able to overcome with the involvement and total disposition of the participating municipalities and their athletes. Congratulations to all, especially to our athletes, for this third championship.
