A Microsoft revealed that he is actively collaborating with Pocketpair to improve the Xbox versions of Palworld, with the aim of speeding up the process of publishing new patches and introducing dedicated servers.
This detail comes from a post published on the official Xbox website celebrating 7 million Palword players on Xbox, representing the biggest launch of a third-party title on Game Pass.
Specifically, the Xbox team will support improve memory and GPU optimizations, accelerate the publication of updates and integrate dedicated servers. This last detail is certainly very interesting, as it represents the biggest difference between the versions of Palworld for Xbox and PC Windows Store and the one for sale on Steam where multiplayer mode for 32 players is possible thanks to the presence of dedicated servers. Furthermore, once these two versions are on an equal footing, it will also be possible to activate crossplay.
“Developers are listening to player feedback and have already started applying their learnings to the game. They know that crossplay is one of the biggest fan requests and are working quickly to fulfill it,” says the Xbox blog.
“On the Xbox side, we are working with Pocketpair to support Xbox versions of the game. We are providing support to enable dedicated servers, offering engineering resources to help optimize GPU and memory, streamlining the process to make Palworld updates available to players, and working with the team to optimize the title for our platform.”
In addition to fixing bugs and bringing the Xbox and Steam versions of Palworld on par, Pocketpair developers have already revealed the roadmap for upcoming content, which will include multiplayer boss raids and PvP modes, in which users will be able to challenge each other by better using their friend and perhaps even stealing those of other players.
