The Israeli Army confirmed this Tuesday (14) that soldier Noa Marciano, aged 19, died in the Gaza Strip after being taken hostage by Hamas.

Her mother, Adi Marciano, participated in a campaign for the release of Israeli hostages and even went to the US Congress to help prioritize support for the cause, in a vigil held together with the country’s congressmen.

Marciano was last seen on Monday (13), in a video released by Hamas, the day before her death was confirmed. In the images, the young woman asks for an end to the war.

Hamas said that Marciano died in an Israeli attack on Palestinian territory, an already recurring version of the terrorist group about the cause of death of other hostages it captured. Israel has not confirmed the version.
