Engenhão has a queue for the RBD show

After facing 65 days and nights In the open in an improvised camp, fans of the Mexican group RBD face queues waiting for the gates of the Nilton Santos Stadium, Engenhão, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro to open. This Thursday night (9) marks the first show of the group’s tour in the country. In total, there will be 8 in Brazil.

The intense heat did not dampen the expectations of admirers. It will be RBD’s first show in the country in 15 years.

“We have no words to express the 15 years we waited to see the band again. Everyone together, in this camp, we have been here since September 6th. Meeting incredible people and sharing experiences”, said the sales consultant Diego Lucas.

Just like Diego, the flight attendant Keri Faria says that seeing the performance is an accomplishment, as he dreamed of seeing the group the last time he was in the country.

“I was 5, 6 years old. I dreamed of being inside Maracanã and watching the show. It was not possible. Today I’m here making a dream come true,” said Keri.

“I wanted to arrive first so that, as soon as I opened the gate, I could get the best place on the railing”, said the student Pedro Lucas.

For the group, the morning passed faster with conversations and the singing of RBD’s main hits.

In the queue at the concert venue, it is also not uncommon to find someone who has engraved RBD’s passion on their skin.

“One [tatuagem] is four months old. The other eight years”, explained the student Diana Cristina.

The young woman has references to the group engraved on both arms.

The student Felipe de Oliveira is from Rio Grande do Sul and insisted on being at the group’s first show in Brazil on the new tour. It has the image of a red tie, characteristic of the band, decorated by a golden star.

“I made this to symbolize themselves. It’s the tie and the star that is Anahí, my favorite. I traveled from Porto Alegre and I’m here. The first show I ever went to was theirs. Now it’s not there. So we travel”, said Felipe.
