“In the last few hours, more than 130 terrorists have been neutralized,” announced the military spokesman, detailing that soldiers attacked by land, air and sea and destroyed several Hamas military complexes.

“Israel Defense Forces (IDF) troops continued to wage fierce battles against Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip, while locating weapons and destroying Hamas terrorist infrastructure and military compounds,” a military statement added.

The text also highlighted that the IDF used combat planes and missile boats to attack a series of Islamic group targets in the enclave.

Among these, he cited “several military command and control centers used by senior Hamas terrorist agents”, “terrorist infrastructure deliberately located in civilian areas”, “military complexes”, “explosive-laden buildings and observation posts” of the group.

The Army explained that its troops on the ground, who continue to fight hand-to-hand and have found a significant number of weapons, collaborated with the Air Force and Navy to carry out joint attacks.

This announcement comes shortly after the Chief of Staff of the Army, Herzi Halevi, reported that his troops are already surrounding and attacking the interior of the city of Gaza, the main city of the Strip, at the same time as they are deepening the land offensive against the enclave. started last Friday (27).

“We have advanced to another important stage of the war. The forces are in the heart of northern Gaza, operating in Gaza City, surrounding it,” Halevi said during a press statement.

“The forces fight in a dense and complex urban area, which requires professional combat and courage”, added the military commander, explaining that “the ground forces are accompanied by precise intelligence, with fire from the air and the sea”.

Halevi also highlighted the “painful and difficult price” of the fighting in Gaza, which has so far left 18 Israeli soldiers dead, one of them a lieutenant colonel who died today, according to the latest data released by the Army.

On the other hand, the Gaza Ministry of Health announced today that there have been more than 9,000 deaths in the Gaza Strip since the start of the war, almost a month ago, and the number of injured has exceeded 32,000.

Today the war between Israel and Hamas reaches its 27th day, which began with the attack, on October 7, by the Islamic group’s armed wing against Israeli territory, which left 1,400 dead, more than 5,400 injured and 242 kidnapped who were taken to Gaza.
