Left-back Guilherme Arana will not be able to go to the World Cup. The player had confirmed a multi-ligament injury in his left knee after imaging tests and will have to undergo surgery.

The information was released by Atlético-MG, which mentioned that the player had an injury to the posterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments, in addition to a tear in the medial meniscus and cartilage.

Guilherme Arana was highly rated to be summoned by Tite for the World Cup in Qatar, being a constant presence in the summons. With the injury, however, the athlete will miss the World Cup.

The athlete had a multi-ligament injury, compromising the posterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments, in addition to tearing the medial meniscus and cartilage.

The player has already started physical therapy in order to prepare the knee for a surgical procedure that will take place on a date to be scheduled.
