Businesswoman Valquíria Nascimento shared a statement on her social media tonight demanding an end to the misuse of musical interpretations by her son, singer MC Kevin, who died in May last year.
“MC Kevin’s legal team would like to inform you that numerous audios containing his musical interpretations have been leaked and shared without any kind of authorization or licensing”, begins the note published on Valquíria’s Instagram.
“Thanks to the immense popularity of artist MC Kevin, taking control of all the unauthorized content, which is daily made available on all networks, has been an arduous and exhausting task for his family”, continues the text.
“For this reason, we would like to emphasize that the circulation, sharing and distribution of any unauthorized content that contains, in whole or in part, the voice and/or image of MC Kevin is strictly prohibited, under penalty of violating his rights. copyright and your personality rights,” the statement concluded.
Earlier, Valquíria released in her profile stories a video outburst on the subject and warned that she has plans to release Kevin’s unreleased songs at the opportune moment.
“It’s not possible for everyone who has Kevin’s voice to release Kevin’s music. You have to have authorization. We’re going to do work and release music [nova] Kevin’s when it’s all sorted out,” he promised.
