The most impressive and mysterious short film in the King of Pop’s career
The seventh of the album’s nine short films Dangerous was entrusted to the skillful director David Fincherafter he finished shooting the film Alien 3 and before doing the fabulous Fight Club. A videographer to the stars, he enlisted the services of Jordan Cronenwethdirector of photography who had worked, among others, on the Ridley Scott, Blade Runner. The director didn’t want to show Michael in his shiny clothes. In the video, his clothes are sober, and only his pants, slightly short and showing his socks, can be considered as reminiscent of Michael’s usual dress code.
The short was shown exclusively on the British TV channel BBC2, but Michael Jackson rejected the final result and demanded that it be immediately removed from all programming. The single was released in the United States in March 1993, without the short being broadcast on TV.
