Musician Justin Timberlake allegedly took a dig at his ex-girlfriend, singer Britney Spears, during his most recent concert in New York. The singer’s indirect referenced the recent public apology made by his ex through social media, demonstrating regret for the mentions of him in her memoir released last year.
In an excerpt from the New York show, speaking to the audience, Timberlake said: “I would like to take this opportunity to apologize… To definitely fucking nobody”. Check out:
In her book, ‘The Woman in Me’, Britney Spears revealed that she was betrayed by the musician when the two were dating and said that she had an abortion at the time of the relationship – because the singer “didn’t want to be a father”. Two days ago, amid the public commotion over the release of Timberlake’s new song, ‘Selfish’, the singer made a post on Instagram with her apology.
Britney shared an excerpt from Timberlake’s appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s show. In the caption she apologized for “some of the things she wrote in the book”.
“I want to apologize for some of the things I wrote in my book,” said the artist. “If I offended someone I really care about, I’m sorry. I also want to say that I’m in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song ‘Selfish’. It is very good”.
‘Selfish’ will be part of the album ‘Everything I Thought It Was’, scheduled for release next March. The singer has been married since 2012 to actress Jessica Biel, mother of his two children. He and Britney Spears dated between 1999 and 2002. Watch the video for Timberlake’s new song below:
