Latin Grammy 2023: Simone receives award for musical excellence in 50 years of career

The week of the 24th Annual Delivery of Latin GRAMMY® (Latin Grammy) began last Sunday night (11) with the presentation of Special Awards that included the following honorees: Carmen Linares, Mijares, Arturo Sandoval, Simone, Soda Stereo, Ana Torroja, Alex Acuña, Gustavo Santaolalla and Wison Towers. O Musical Excellence Award is awarded to performers who during their careers have made creative contributions of exceptional artistic value to Latin music and its communities.
The Brazilian artist, Simone, was honored for the body of work built in her 50-year career. Before receiving the trophy, Simone was celebrated with unprecedented testimonies from Milton Nascimento, Ivan Lins, Martinho da Vila It is Zélia Duncan.
