It was two days at Confins airport in Belo Horizonte, waiting for the arrival of Roger Waters, who performed on the night of 11/08, at the Mineirão stadium, in Belo Horizonte.

Wesley Floyd, one of Pink Floyd’s biggest fans, is also the owner of relics that gave the city of Ouro Preto the impressive Pink Floyd Fans Memorial and with him were Rodney Mayah, Mariana Meneguitte and one of their children, Nikollas, waiting for the idol.

They waited, took turns, communicated even with people whose names they still don’t even know and after a long wait, they managed to receive the attention of the legend Roger Waters, who attended to them, signed CDs, vinyls and received a Memorial pennant, made exclusively by Wesley’s hands. Furthermore, after the meeting, Wesley gave an interview to the artist’s producers, which means that his chances of living in Ouro Preto at another time are greater.

Despite the emails sent and the campaign on social media, Roger Waters is not expected to visit the Memorial yet, as he heads to São Paulo right after the show in Belo Horizonte. But one certainty is that Roger Waters knows, from now on, that the World Heritage city has, perhaps, the only memorial dedicated to the Band.
