The new trailer for A Quiet Place: Day One begins with the character of Lupita Nyong’o walking into a store with your cat in NY. Out of nowhere, the sky is lit up by comets and explosions happen near her. We see the first aliens attacking people. Check out:
The new spin-off of A Quiet Place will take place in New York and show the arrival of aliens with hard shells and sensitive hearing, causing the apocalypse. Michael Sarnoski (Pig – The Revenge) directs the spinoff, which is not Part III continuing the story of the Abbott family, but a prequel.
Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) and Joseph Quinn (Eddie in Stranger Things, The Fantastic Four) will star in the film as protagonists. Alex Wolff (Hereditary) is also in the cast.
A Quiet Place – Part I and II were directed by John Krasinski (The Office), who played Evelyn’s husband (Emily Blunt) in the first film in 2018, A Quiet Place also features Noah Jupe, Millicent Simmonds, Cillian Murphy It is Djimon Hounsou in the cast. The premiere of A Quiet Place: Day One is scheduled for June 27th.
In addition to the derivative about the origins of this apocalypse, Paramount is also producing A Quiet Place – Part III, continuing the story of the Abbott family headed by Blunt and Krasinski. The end of the trilogy comes the year after the spinoff, in 2025. There is still no director or screenwriter attached to the project. Krasinski would be the obvious choice, but no announcement has been made.
Either way, Krasinski has a new film this year with the children’s comedy Imaginary Friends, which reunites him with his The Office co-star, Steve CarrellBesides having Ryan Reynolds It is Phoebe Waller-Bridge in the cast. The film opens in May, watch the trailer here. Described as a family adventure about a girl rediscovering her imagination, it will feature Krasinski once again directing and acting, as he did in A Quiet Place.
