In the plot, we meet Jack (Keanu Reeves), a police officer who together with his partner Harry (Jeff Daniels) is called to a complicated situation involving an elevator that is falling, in a supposedly premeditated action. After these minutes of high tension and the rescue of the hostages, Jack finds himself once again confronted with the mastermind behind the elevator incident, a psychopath named Howard (Dennis Hopper), former member of the police bomb squad who now threatens a bus that cannot reach a speed of 50 miles per hour otherwise a bomb will set off. Jack will have the help of Annie (Sandra Bullock), a friendly passenger.
A dream of freedom
Beside Morgan Freeman and great cast Tim Robbins is the protagonist Andy Dufresne, a banker who is accused of having murdered his unfaithful wife and her lover. Sentenced to life in prison, he knows pain and suffering, seeking strength in the friendships he makes in prison and, above all, not losing his dream of freedom. Two powerful performances from Freeman and Robbins. It’s impossible not to like this film.
Priscilla, Queen of the Desert
In the plot we meet the drag queens Tick (Hugo Weaving) and Adam (Guy Pearce), as well as the transsexual Bernadette (Terence Stamp) who embark on a trip aboard a bus to perform in Alice Springs, a chic resort in the Australian desert. The huge tour ends up serving as an outlet, with memories coming in full force and secrets and surprises that they find along the way.
Attracted by Destiny
Directed by Andrew Bergman and released in May 1994 in Brazil, the romantic comedy Attracted by Destiny shows us the story of a good-natured police officer who one day decides to tell the waitress at the establishment he always frequents: if I win the lottery, I’ll share the prize with you! It turns out that he wins, a fact that will cause a lot of confusion with his wife as the police officer wants to fulfill the promise he made to the waitress.
