Initially, it was believed that recordings of ‘Shang-Chi 2‘ would begin shooting in the North American fall of 2023 (between September and December).
However, strikes by writers and actors last year delayed the development of the project, which has not had official updates for a long time.
Now the protagonist Simu Liu assured that the sequel is still in Marvel’s plans. And he also confirmed that Destin Daniel Cretton returns as director.
“We are working on the film. I speak for myself and Destin (Daniel Cretton), our director, when I say that we are super excited to return,” he said on The Tonight Show.
Remembering that production of the sequel should only begin in 2025.
However, as we wait for filming to begin, exciting plot details have been emerging, revealing that the upcoming film will feature elements of time travel and the appearance of Iron Fist.
According to CBR, the new film will mark the debut of Iron Fist on the big screen. However, apparently the role of the hero will not be played by Finn Joneswho portrayed him in the Netflix series.
According to rumors, the hero will be represented by the same version that will be introduced in the series ‘Eyes of Wakanda’.
