There are two ways Marvel can bring Gambit back to life in X-Men ’97 – learn more.

The excellent X-Men ’97, an animated series that is the first mutant production made by Marvel Studios since the rights to the characters returned to Casa das Ideias itself, is now showing on Disney+.
X-Men ’97 has been showing on Disney+ since March 20th, and so far has 7 episodes released on streaming, with one of the best being the 5th, titled “Remember This”.
And in this 5th episode, Gambit’s death, with the mutant sacrificing himself in Genosha to defeat the Master Mold. And in the seventh episode of the animated series, we saw the character’s funeral. But have two ways to bring him back.
Also in the 7th episode, X-Men ’97we saw a little more than Cable, the character who comes from the future and is trying to prevent the mutant tragedy. And the victory of time-traveling characters is to be able to avoid past tragedies, which means it could be Cable’s goal to undo the attack on Genosha, which would eventually prevent Gambit’s death.
The second way we can see Gambit coming back to life isn’t so good: one of the X-Men’s biggest villains is Apocalypseand there are strong rumors that he could be in the 2nd season of X-Men ’97.
And in the comics, Apocalypse ends up turning Gambit into one of his Horsemen, in this case Death, a phase in which a darker personality ends up taking over the character, in addition to his powers being amplified.
The one who ends up transforming Gambit back to his normal state is Mr. Sinister, and eventually Gambit returns to the X-Mem. With some adaptations, we can see the same happening in the next season of X-Men ’97.

X-Men ’97 promises to be the continuation of the famous 1992 animated series. Now, the series will be a Marvel Studios production, and will have much of its cast from the original American dubbing back.
The lineup of the new X-Men ’97 team includes Rogue, Beast, Gambit, Jean Grey, Wolverine, Storm, Jubilee and Cyclops, all led by Magneto.
Nightcrawler, Cable, Bishop, Morfo, Forge and Sunspot are also present. The team of villains includes Sebastian Shaw, Emma Frost (White Queen), Callisto, Valerie Cooper, and Mr. Sinister. The series is already on display on Disney+!
