With 6 reviews published to date, the post-apocalyptic thriller ‘Breathe‘, starring Milla Jovovich (‘Resident Evil’), opened with bitter 17% critics approval on Rotten Tomatoes.
The general consensus criticizes the film for offering a shallow, clichéd and drawn-out dystopian plot – losing the pace and interest of viewers throughout its narrative.

Maya and her daughter are forced to live below ground after the Earth becomes uninhabitable due to a lack of oxygen. Only short trips to the surface are possible thanks to the suit built by Darius, Maya’s husband, who was considered dead. When a mysterious couple arrives claiming to know Darius and his destiny, Maya reluctantly agrees to let them into the bunker… but are they really who they appear to be?
