Disney has released the stunning trailer for Rise of the Planet of the Apes, the long-awaited new film in the great science fiction franchise that began 55 years ago with the legendary film starring Charlton Heston. This new adventure will continue the franchise started by Rise of the Planet of the Apes, which served as the basis for an unforgettable trilogy.

A new trilogy?
The story of Planet of the Apes: Reign takes place several years after the events told to us in War for the Planet of the Apes, where several clans have prospered, while the places have regressed to a savage state. There we will follow a monkey who avoids applying Caesar’s teachings to enslave other clans, while another begins a journey in search of freedom accompanied by a young human girl.
The director of the film is Wes Ball, the director of the Maze Runner trilogy. Going from Matt Reeves, currently very busy preparing the Batman sequel, to Ball is a risky choice, but let’s hope he can offer a more inspired film than those in the saga led by Dylan O’Brien.
