Who are you going to call? A Sony Pictures released this Wednesday (8) the first trailer Ghostbusters 5 continuation of Ghostbusters: Beyondwhich will be officially called Ghostbusters: Ice Apocalypse and opens in theaters in March 2024.

The fifth film will bring back the characters from Ghostbusters: Beyond and will take place in New York City, the classic setting of the Ghostbusters franchise. It is described as another adventure for the Spengler family, and will bring back the fire station that served as headquarters for the original Ghostbusters in the first film, including the classic uniforms.

The new film will be directed by Gil Kenanscreenwriter for Mais Além.

Ghostbusters: Beyond brought a plot centered on a new family, the Spenglers. Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) is Trevor and McKenna Grace (The Haunting of Hill House) features Phoebe, the children of Carrie Coon (The Leftovers), who will play a single mother named Callie. Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) is also part of the cast.

In addition to the new characters, the film also features the return of familiar faces. Bill Murray returned as Peter Venkman. Dan Aykroyd returned as Dr. Raymond Stantz, Sigourney Weaver reprized her role as Dana Barrett and Annie Potts lived Janine Melnitz once again.

Completing the cast are names like Ernie Hudson, Celeste O’Connor It is Logan Kim. The person responsible for management was Jason Reitman and the production will be your father’s, Ivan Reitmandirector of the first Ghostbuster released in 1984. Ghostbusters: Beyond is available on HBO Max.

Originally scheduled to come out at Christmas 2023, Ghostbusters 5 was postponed by Sony Pictures and will now open in Brazilian cinemas on March 28, 2024.
