Five Nights At Freddy’s – The Neverending Nightmare arrived in theaters not long ago, but it is already among the best-rated video game adaptations in history. Alongside Josh Hutcherson, who stars in the film as Mike Schmidtanother actor also drove the audience crazy: Matthew Lillard, interpreter of the enigmatic Steve Raglan.
The actor brought the Sausage in the live-action Scooby-Doo. However, if you’re a fan of slashers, you probably remember Lillard for his role as Stu Macher, one of the killers from the first chapter of the Scream saga. Interestingly, there’s a scene of Matthew in FNAF that references the iconic franchise – but few noticed.

This is the moment of the great revelation, when we discover that Raglan is, in fact, William Afton – co-founder of Fazbear Entertainment and serial child killer in his spare time. While cornering Mike, Afton runs his fingers over the blade of a knife. In Scream, Stu does exactly the same thing.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the film’s director, Emma Tammi, revealed that the moment was completely improvised: “There was definitely a discussion between the two of us in terms of trying different things and maximizing his menacing movement in that costume. Ultimately, he brought all of his brilliance and improvisation to the table, and we were so lucky to be filming the moment.”
Will Five Nights at Freddy’s be continued?
Although there is no official confirmation, according to the Collider, the next chapter depends solely on the film’s box office results. Furthermore, Five Nights ends, in a way, with an open ending – the antagonist is alive and the bizarre animatronics are still active.
