According to Variety, Marvel Studios opted for a different strategy for The Marvels, holding a test screening with an audience in Texas in June.

However, the test screening was not entirely successful, with the public giving a “average reception” to the film.

The strategy draws attention, as test screenings generally only involve employees of the studio itself and people close to them.
