In a special retrospective of 15 years of Marvel Cinematic Universethe president of marvel studios, Kevin Feigeshared an interesting story about the early connection between the director Ryan Coogler and the universe of superheroes.

During a video released by ComicBookFeige revealed that Coogler, even before directing the acclaimed film ‘Black Panther’already had a strong connection with the Marvel thanks to an experience he had during the opening night of ‘Iron Man‘, in 2008.

Feige said they were at the Cinerama Dome presenting the film, along with the director Jon Favreauthe actor Robert Downey Jr. and other team members, to a wide audience. Years later, Feige discovered that Coogler was present on that memorable night.

“He [Coogler] told me the story months after he was hired, saying, ‘By the way, I want to tell you something, I was in the Cinerama Dome,'” shared Feige. Coogler revealed that he saw Feige, Favreau and Downey Jr. passed him while he was running late, having gone to get popcorn. Coogler added, “You guys sounded confident, I knew the movie would be good, you guys sounded confident.” Feige, however, joked that he didn’t remember feeling confident that night.

In addition to ‘black Panther‘, Ryan Coogler also directed the sequel ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever After’, which counts on Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong’o, Martin Freeman, Danai Gurira, Tenoch Huerta It is Michaela Coel in the cast.
