Even though there are many villains in the Batman universe, the gallery is quite wide when we look at those who straddle the line between reality and insanity. Some eccentric actors have already brought villains to life in the most surprising ways possible, like the Scarecrow, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy and the famous Joker.
And these are just some of the characters that come to mind when it comes to insanity. Now, by the way, it is no different, because Nicolas Cageknown for also being an eccentric actor, revealed that he would be interested in playing an insane Batman villain, Egghead.
Egghead was created in the 1960s “Batman,” which starred Adam West as Caped Crusader; Burt Ward as Robin the Boy Wonder; Cesar Romero as Joker; in addition to Burgess Meredith, as Penguin, and Julie Numar, being one of the Selina Kyles.
Vincent Price brought the villain to life, who was known for his large, egg-shaped head and yellow and white suit, which actually looked like an egg.
In this context, Nicolas recently revealed that he would like to play the character, as he is considered one of the smartest men in the world, which makes him as dangerous as the Joker and Riddler.
As Nicolas is also known for being one of the most eccentric actors in Hollywood, for his ability to play some of the most challenging or even insane characters in the industry, he has been using his talents to rock the fences, showing that he is capable of bringing more and more more crazy and unique characters to the screens, or even the most problematic ones. Some examples are Castor Troy, Red Miller, Eddie and his most insane character, Peter Loew.
The ability to show deep and dark points about his own mind through perfect acting in front of the screen, to our delight, makes Cage the most suitable for playing Egghead.
And this is not the first time this has happened, as he has played other roles, such as Marvel’s Ghost Rider. He played the character in “Ghost Rider” and “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance”.
As much as Egghead is not at the top of the list of villains that fans are eager to see on the small screen, the possibility of him being played by Nicolas Cage has been stoking curiosity. In interviews, the actor assumed that he had a pretty good idea of how it would work, but declined to give details.
It’s quite possible that Nicolas Cage could actually fit in for an eccentric and fun cameo in a future film against Robert Pattinson’s Batman.
