Natália Gaulke Metzler, 50, died after being stabbed in the chest by a man during a traditional dance in Vila Itoupava, municipality of Blumenau, in Vale do Itajaí. The crime happened in the early hours of this Sunday (4) and her husband was also injured with blows.
The author of the crime was arrested in the act by the Military Police (PM) and would have attacked the couple for having a “quarrel” with Natália’s husband, who underwent surgery and is in a delicate condition.

The reason for the disagreement continues to be investigated, but the man arrested has police records for bodily harm and threat.

A PM report details that the violence began when the perpetrator arrived at the dance accompanied by a woman.
When she found Natalia’s husband, she advanced on him and they started an argument. Then she said she was going to the house where she lives and would come back armed.
Soon after, he returned with a knife measuring about 15 centimeters and went for the couple, delivering several blows to Natalia and then to her husband. He fled the scene, but was arrested.
The woman’s death was confirmed at Hospital Misericórdia, in Vila Itoupava. The man was transferred to Santo Antônio Hospital, where he remains in the ICU.
At the police station, the aggressor was framed for the crime of qualified homicide for futile motive. His name was not given and g1 was unable to locate his defense.
