Former player of Esporte Clube Novo Hamburgo and Cuiabá, Felipe Prophet, 25, drowned this Saturday (3) in Campo Novo do Parecis, Mato Grosso. The former athlete wore the blue shirt in the 2019 season, when he came on loan from the Mato Grosso club. He also had spells at Dom Bosco, Atlético-MT, Luverdense, União Rondonópolis, Ação and Cacerense.

According to the G1 website, based on information from the Civil Police, the former player was in Várzea Grande and went to a local bathhouse with a group of friends. Prophet decided to climb on a buoy, a bed type, and when he got close to the riverbank, he and a friend jumped and the victim ended up drowning. Felipe was rescued, and attempts were made to revive him, but without success.

On its Twitter, Cuiabá mourned the death of the former player.
