Rio – The defense of the syndicate Dayse de Souza Ribeiro, 56, hopes that the resident who attacked her will be expelled from living in the luxury condominium, in Barra da Tijuca, later this week. According to lawyer Daniel Blanck, the protective measure determines that the aggressor, identified as Amadeu Ribeiro de Souza, stays at least 100 meters away from the victim, which would prevent him from living in the same building where the assaulted woman lives.
“My expectation is that the Justice will appreciate the removal request and that it will cease any type of contact between him and the victim under penalty of imprisonment”, said lawyer Daniel Blanck.
Manager of the Marina Barra Bella condominium for two years, Dayse says that, since the assault took place, she has not been able to circulate peacefully through the condominium. “I’m more attentive now. A guy who gets to the point of committing cowardice like that, you expect anything. The least we expect from people is that they have civility. (…) It’s not because someone has an opinion different, that you’ll beat everyone up. If a person behaves like that, it’s obvious that I believe he’ll try again. Even because he’s a coward”, commented the resident.
Dayse explains that the aggressor has a history of misconduct when being contradicted in the condominium. According to her, the resident has already discussed with other syndics who worked in the residential. “He can’t be contradicted, he gives a tantrum. So it’s complicated. He’s a person who doesn’t know how to live collectively, doesn’t know how to live by rules. It seems he didn’t have that kind of learning. I had even opened three police reports against him, but he did not show up to testify”, recalled the manager.
“He had already screamed, coming at me, but he always stopped. He already screamed, cursed, cursed my mother. It was even for this reason, to prevent him from continuing to attack me, that I opened the police reports, but it didn’t work. This time he came to cowardly attack me”, Dayse commented.
The assault took place last Tuesday night (30), at the gym in the residential building. The resident’s fury against the manager happened after he refused to respect the closing of the space for maintenance. Dayse would have gone to the place to ask him to leave, but Amadeu insisted and, after having his will denied, slapped the victim. The assault was filmed on a security camera.
The day after the incident, a meeting of residents held in the condominium was unanimously decided to expel Amadeu from the residential building in Barra. “I received the support of everyone on the day of the assembly, including people who no longer live in the condominium, but who rent their units. All of them are very concerned and show solidarity. commented the manager.
