According to him, the robbery was carried out by three men. In the videos, it is possible to see that everyone had their faces covered by masks or cloths.

They got out of a white car, which stopped in front of the grocery store. In the images, Renato appears shirtless. He is taken to the side of the establishment, where the stairs leading up to the family home are.

At one point, one of the bandits hits the victim. “He threatened me all the time. He gave me a butt. The guys wanted money and even talked about guns,” he said.

Renato said that, while he was approached by the thieves, family members threw potted plants to try to scare away the thieves. In one of the videos, it is possible to follow the moment when one of these objects is thrown through the first floor window.

Renato said that there were moments of terror. “They wanted to come up to my house to get my things. They threatened me and said they were going to shoot,” he declared.

In the interview, Renato reported that he went to the Varadouro police station, also in Olinda, and filed a complaint. The victim of the robbery took the images and photos he recorded of the action, detailing the tattoos of the thieves, to try to help the police locate them.

Renato questioned this statement by the driver of the vehicle. “I go back to the police station to find out the reasons that led the police to release this driver. He was with the thieves,” he stated.

The Civil Police said in a statement that it is investigating a robbery at a commercial establishment. According to the corporation, “there is still no information about the author of the crime and the case is still under investigation”.
