This Monday (09/05), from 8 am, the river waters scheduled the repair of a leak in the subduct responsible for supplying part of the North and South zones of Rio de Janeiro. While the water supply is interrupted for maintenance, the concessionaire’s teams will take the opportunity to work on improving the supply system, replacing old records in the pipeline in the neighborhood of Maracanã and installing a new security system on the Treated Water Pumping Station (EEAT) Guaicuruslocated in Long River.

The scheduled maintenance, which will be carried out in a section of the pipeline located in Complexo do Lins, is scheduled to be concluded at 8:00 am on Tuesday (06/09). The normalization of the supply system will occur gradually, within 48 hours.

Affected regions: Andaraí, Botafogo, Catumbi, Cosme Velho, Engenho Novo, Grajaú, Laranjeiras, Leme, Maracanã, Praça da Bandeira, Riachuelo, Rio Comprido, Rocha, São Francisco Xavier, Sampaio, Santa Teresa, Tijuca, Urca, Vila Isabel.

The concessionaire asks commercial and residential customers to reserve water from cisterns and water tanks for priority activities during the shortage period and informs that essential services will be maintained through water supply with a water truck.
