The state deputy and president of the Legislative Assembly of Santa Catarina (Alesc), Moacir Sopelsa (MDB), is the interim governor of the state for the next 30 days. The inauguration ceremony took place on the morning of this Saturday, 3rd, with the presence of political authorities from different regions, secretaries of State, heads of powers and guests, at Teatro Pedro Ivo, in Florianópolis.
After leaving the position, Carlos Moisés wished Sopelsa success in the mission facing the state command, and showed that the act is a gesture that represents respect and harmony between the powers and the certainty that Santa Catarina will be in good hands. Moses will follow the political agenda as a candidate for re-election.
At the age of 76, Moacir Sopelsa, has a political trajectory of six consecutive legislatures in Alesc, has been a councilor and mayor in the home town of Concórdia and has worked as Secretary of State for Agriculture and deputy to the Civil House of the Government of Santa Catarina.
“I want to guarantee my loyalty and the commitment to continue the work done so far with respect for all people and achievements to improve the lives of Santa Catarina people”, points out Sopelsa.
Moacir Sopelsa’s first appointment on the official agenda as interim governor will be a meeting with state secretaries, this Sunday, 4th, at the Santa Catarina Government Administrative Center. Only from the first alignments will Sopelsa forward the projects that he intends to carry out in the period in which he is in charge of the State Executive.
