Three young people, aged 20, 22 and 27, and a 35-year-old man were arrested with a skunk tablet and a precision scale this Friday (2). The arrest took place on Avenida Venezuela, in the Mecejana neighborhood, west of Boa Vista.
According to information from the Military Police, the 27-year-old was walking with a backpack on his back towards two cars that were turned on and stopped. When they saw the police car, there was intense movement among the occupants of the vehicles.
One of the cars accelerated and the driver fled the scene at high speed. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
The young man with the backpack got out of the vehicle already in motion and fled on foot. The PM caught up with him and with him was found a skunk tablet.
Asked about the material, the young man said he was selling the drug. The occupants of the other vehicle remained at the scene.
During the personal searches, no illicit material was found with them. However, during the search of the car, the PM found a precision scale in the passenger seat.
According to one of them, the scale belonged to one of the men who were in the vehicle that fled.
The group and the seized material were presented at the 5th Police District for appropriate measures.
