Rio – Images from the security camera of a nightclub in Barra da Tijuca, West Zone, captured the escape of militiaman Leandro Xavier da Silva, the Playboy of Curicica, during an operation by the Police Station for Repression of Organized Criminal Actions (Draco- IE), which took place on May 19 this year.
Leandro Xavier escaped from the scene after the military police officer Marcos Roberto França Júnior shot several times, in order to lose the Draco agents. Playboy managed to escape quietly through the front door of the nightclub, without being approached by the agents investigating the shooting carried out by the PM.
In the video obtained by RJTV, from TV Globo, it shows militia member Leandro Xavier, wearing a red shirt. It is also possible to observe the moment when other militiamen hide weapons in the entrance hall of the nightclub. In the images, it is possible to see in other security cameras the escape of the Playboy gang through the streets of the neighborhood. In the video, it is also possible to see the paramilitary Aryel Wolf Gang Ramos de Andrade hiding a gun in a construction site.
In operation carried out this Friday morning (2), to dismantle a militia that operates in the regions of Curicica and Terreirão, in the West Zone. The Police Station for Repression of Organized Criminal Actions (Draco-IE), served 10 arrest warrants and 39 search and seizure warrants against the group of militia member Leandro Xavier da Silva, the Playboy of Curicica, who was arrested in the act last Tuesday (30). According to the delegate of Draco, Ricardo Carrarreto, six criminals were arrested during the operation. Among them, police officer Marcos Roberto, suspected of carrying out Playboy’s security.
In a statement, the Military Police Internal Affairs reported that it does not condone misconduct by its members. Rio Municipal Guard reported that it received a team from the Civil Police to carry out a search and seizure warrant to check the agent’s locker, however, it is not crowded at headquarters. The agency claims to be cooperating with the police authorities, within its powers.
