A man, still unidentified, died after being hit by a car driver, in the early morning hours of Saturday (03), around 1:30 am, on Avenida Engenheiro Alves de Noronha, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood, in the north of Teresina.

The Unit Policing Coordinator (CPU), of the 9th Battalion of the Military Police of Piauí, sub-lieutenant Vladimir, informed the GP1 the victim went to cross the road, but the driver of the vehicle that passed the scene collided with the boy, who died immediately.

“We were told that the victim’s death was a traffic accident, where there was a death record. We learned that the citizen was a pedestrian and was hit by a car at the scene. This accident took place around 1:30 am.

Also according to the 9th Battalion of the PM, after colliding with the victim, the driver fled the scene and did not provide support to the boy. After the occurrence, the Civil Police expertise was called to carry out the initial surveys of the accident.

The Instituto de Medicina Legal de Teresina (IML) was called to carry out the removal of the victim’s body, which was then released for family burial. The case will be investigated by the Civil Police of Piauí.
