True crime fans, a program about crimes in streaming, will be able to thank Globo for the return of one of the station’s most beloved projects: Linha Direta. The program, according to information from columnist Patrícia Kogut, from the newspaper O Globo, is still confidential by the broadcaster. Linha Direta was on the air directly from 1999 to 2007, being one of the most talked about police programs in society, since the suspects were shown on the Globo screen and had simulations made by actors, in addition to witness statements. It was created to tell true stories of crimes that took place at the time, such as the death of Daniella Perez, daughter of author Glória Perez. The murder of the actress became the series ‘Mortal Pact’, shown by HBO Max and was an absolute success on the platform. In addition to the series of Glória’s daughter, another case that had a lot of repercussion on social networks was the Evandro Case, available on Globoplay. Observing the growing number of fans in this genre, the return of Linha Direta was thought of by the broadcaster. Despite the sketch, the project is in its initial phase and is being developed by director Mariano Boni. The premiere date has not yet been set.
