A 35-year-old man was killed with at least 14 shots in the early hours of Saturday (3) on Domingos Aparecido Bissoli Street, in Vila Popular, in Campo Grande.
According to the Civil Police, the crime took place around 0:25 am. People heard several shots of fire and found the victim, Heber da Silva Arruda, lying in the street.
He was rescued by people and taken to the Santa Monica Emergency Care Unit (UPA), in the Bosque Santa Monica II neighborhood, but he arrived dead at the unit.
The Military Police were called and were at the crime scene and also at the UPA. At the health unit, the two men who rescued Heber said that they did not witness the crime, they only knew that it had happened.
The two men also told the military that they suspected the involvement of a man identified only as “Formigao” in the crime.
A team from the Community Emergency Care Police Station (Depac) also went to where the shootings took place. Ammunition and the victim’s cell phone were collected. Police are checking properties in the area that have security cameras that may have recorded the case.
