The young man murdered this Friday morning (2) in Gurupi, in the south of the state, was identified as Guilherme Leão Saraiva Venâncio. According to the Military Police, he was shot in the back of the head inside a moving car during an alleged robbery attempt.
The Military Police reported that the two victims who were in the vehicle, driver and passenger, had been surrendered in Dueré, in the south of the state. The armed criminal continued his journey in the back seat, putting the gun to the victims’ heads.

Arriving at Gurupi, the criminal shot Guilherme Leão in the back of the head, who did not resist and died on the spot. At this moment the car driver would have reacted and fought inside the moving vehicle.
The car ended up leaving the lane and climbed the BR-153’s central median. The suspect in the crime fled on foot towards the center of the city and left the weapon inside the vehicle.

Security camera footage caught the man running with bloodstained clothes. He is still being sought by the Military Police.
The victim’s body was taken to the Gurupi IML and should be released during the afternoon.
