The president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) commented on the veto of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) regarding the use of cell phones in the voting booth. The Court determined that the voter, on polling day, will have to leave the item in a reserved place before going to the electronic voting machine. On a visit to Expointer – agricultural fair in Esteio, in Rio Grande do Sul -, the representative stressed that the decisions of the TSE harm “our side”. “In my opinion, it is another abuse of the TSE. They are taking more measures that always harm our side. Regrettably, the TSE has acted in this way,” he pointed out. According to a resolution of the Electoral Court released last Thursday, 1st, voters who do not agree to leave their cell phone with the polling station before voting will be prevented from casting their vote. The police can also be called in cases of confusion. There, Bolsonaro took the opportunity to comment on the latest poll released by the Datafolha institute, in which he appears in second place in voting intentions, with 32% of the electorate’s preference, behind only the former president. Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (EN), with 45%. “I don’t believe in polls, but Datafolha said yesterday that there will be a second round. If you said you will have it, it’s because you won’t. We will win in the first round,” he declared.
