The Yellow Line should receive around 980 thousand vehicles at Praça do Pedágio during Rock in Rio 2022. With more than 700 thousand people expected to participate in the event in Barra da Tijuca, the flow of cars on the road should also increase in the seven festival days, from Friday (02/09) to Sunday (04/09) and from Thursday (08/09) to the following Sunday (11/09), including dawn.

To better serve the user in the period, Lamsa will reinforce the medical and mechanical teams in several sections of the road and intensify communication with drivers and motorcyclists. On rocky days and nights, messages will be displayed daily on highway billboards about traffic and weather conditions, responsible driving and preventative maintenance.

According to Lamsa, more than 149 thousand vehicles should pass through Praça do Pedágio on Friday (09/02); more than 134 thousand on Saturday (09/03) and more than 127 thousand on Sunday (09/04). In the following week, the concessionaire expects to receive more than 150 thousand users on Thursday (09/08); more than 151 thousand on Friday (09/09); more than 142 thousand on Saturday (10/09); and more than 122 thousand on Sunday (11/09).

Lamsa also calculates the best time to access the highway so that the driver can plan better, avoiding unforeseen events. Check out:

– Friday (09/02): heaviest traffic forecast from 8 am to 11 am and from 6 pm to 7 pm on the lane towards Barra; on the runway towards Barra;

– Saturday (09/03): heaviest traffic from 5pm to 7pm on the lane towards Barra; and from 6 am to 8 am on the track towards Fundão;

– Sunday (09/04): heaviest traffic from 12:00 to 18:00 on the lane towards Barra; and from 18:00 to 19:00 on the lane towards Barra;

– Thursday (09/08): heaviest traffic from 7 am to 10 am and from 5 pm to 7 pm on the lane towards Barra; and from 7pm to 8pm on the track towards Fundão;

– Friday (09/09): heaviest traffic from 7 am to 10 am and from 3 pm to 4 pm on the lane towards Barra; and from 17:00 to 18:00 on the lane towards Barra;

– Saturday (10/09): heaviest traffic from 8 am to 9 am and from 1 pm to 2 pm on the lane towards Barra; and from 5 pm to 6 pm on the track towards Fundão;

– Sunday (11/09): heaviest traffic from 2pm to 3pm on the lane towards Barra; and from 18:00 to 19:00 on the track towards Fundão.

The concessionaire reinforces the importance of awareness in traffic and precautions to prevent accidents, such as paying attention to signs and not driving under the influence of alcohol.
