For 23 years UNIASSELVI grew and expanded, following the growth of the regions where it operates. With its origins in Indaial, the Institution was the first to bring physical structures and offer access to higher education to cities in the interior of the whole country. In 2019, when it turned 20, it also reached the mark than 200 thousand students in distance learning. The year became even more special with the achievement, in June, of the maximum grade (5) in the Distance Learning Institutional Concept, granted by the Ministry of Education (MEC), through Institutional Re-accreditation.

The second maximum score – also evaluated by the MEC – came shortly after in the act of Re-accreditation of the University Center. As a result, UNIASSELVI won the title of the only large institution with maximum marks in both concepts.

Quality education nationwide

Currently, the University Center has more than 400 thousand students enrolled in different courses. The staff is made up of more than 5,000 employees throughout Brazil. In teaching, all internal Tutors (gives full support to academics on learning platforms and conducts the course) and external Tutors (responsible for mediating weekly meetings and accompanying all stages of study), as well as the Professors are specialists, masters and doctors in their respective areas.

— to be able to provide quality education across Brazil, is a source of great pride and accomplishment for UNIASSELVI. It is to sign the commitment of our social responsibility to contribute to a better tomorrow for all our students. We are, in fact, helping them to build their own stories — highlights the CEO of Vitru Educação, Pedro Graça.

In 2020, Vitru, the parent company of UNIASSELVI, became the first publicly traded Santa Catarina company on the New York stock exchange, Nasdaq.

Free app and monthly discount

All students have the UNIASSELVI Leo App, a tool with access to the entire content of the disciplines, assessments, grades and administrative and financial services. Available for Android and iOS systems, the application does not consume the users’ mobile data package, since navigation is sponsored by the Institution.

In addition, UNIASSELVI also has the Awarded Indication, a recurring promotion in which students recommend other people to study at the Center and receive a discount on the monthly fee. With the benefit, it is possible to study for free, since the effective indications are cumulative.
