One 40-year-old woman and her ex-boyfriend were indicted by the Civil Police for triple-qualified homicide on suspicion of burn her husband alive, in Betim, in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte. In a press conference, this Thursday (1st), the delegate Otávio Luiz de Carvalho informed that she even searched on the internet “how to withdraw FGTS from deceased”.
the body of Alexandre Dutra Cardoso37 years old, was found on fire on June 30th in the Charneca neighborhood. The victim was located by security guards from a company in the area. According to the delegate, the woman only made the disappearance record a day later, stating that her partner had not arrived home, she was unable to contact him by phone and went to sleep.
“It initially raised suspicion against his wife and we started investigating. Investigators started looking for cameras near her house and we saw that she left the house in the couple’s car. We later saw that she returned home, leaving again later”, explained the policeman.
On one of these trips, the woman passed a gas station with another man, where he filled up the vehicle and bought a gallon with five liters. Faced with the evidence, the police requested her temporary arrest, who ended up confessing to the crime.
“She looked for the man in the Novo Riacho neighborhood, in Contagem. We identified him as her 35-year-old ex-boyfriend. We asked for his temporary arrest, who preferred to remain silent. The author said that the relationship with the victim was difficult, that two months before he attacked her. And on the day of the crime, he would have morally offended her. She decided to call her ex who said he would help her. According to the autopsy report, he (the victim) was burned alive, we trace the research that she did it on Google on the day of the crime. She did research on ‘how to kill without pain’. She was a nursing technician, and everything leads to believe that she poisoned this man or gave him a sleeping pill”, detailed the delegate.
Despite the woman saying that she was attacked by her partner, there were no records of newsletters involving the couple and, before confessing to the murder, she stated in deposition that Alexandre was a good husband.
Investigations pointed out that the woman took the ex to the couple’s house, where he entered alone and tied the victim. Then, Alexander was taken to another region of the city.
According to the police, the victim had received compensation of BRL 90,000 after leaving the company where he worked. In addition to researching how to withdraw the Severance Indemnity Fund (FGTS) from a person who had already died, she went to the bank to try to get access to the amount.
In addition to nursing technician, the woman had a law degree and was doing an internship at the Betim Public Defender’s Office.
The triple qualified homicide was for clumsy reasons, use of cruel means and resource that made it impossible to defend the victim. The duo can also answer for corpse destruction. If convicted, the suspects could face up to 30 years in prison.
The names of the woman and man were not released. and for that reason it was not possible to locate their defense.
