Finally, after the period of isolation due to the pandemic, Sarau do Getúlio is back at the Municipal Memorial Getúlio Vargas, in Glória. The musical attractions of this fourth season began last Saturday, 08/27, and will continue on every Saturday until November. The Children’s Choir of EM Rocinha, formed by more than twenty children and conducted by Valéria Correria, opened the series of weekly presentations, together with Grupo Vocal Navegantes, conducted by Alain Pierre. This Saturday (09/03), the agenda features Grupo Vocal Sofá Sueco and Grupo Vocal BateBoca. Shows are always at 4pm. The friend ticket can be purchased before the event at the Memorial box office for just R$10, in cash.

The beginning of these meetings, before the pandemic, took place at the initiative of actor and director Marco Aurélio Hamellin, who died in 2021, a victim of Covid-19. This return has been coordinated by his life partner, for 32 years, Celso Branco. “Time to go back to celebrating life, meetings and vocal music”, says Celso, about the current meetings.

The public can still take the opportunity to arrive earlier and pay prestige to the exhibitions at the Getúlio Vargas Memorial. Check below the complete program of the Sarau and other events, in other facilities of the Municipal Department of Culture, from 08/31 to 09/06.
