The government of the Federal District valued the mansion in Brasília of Ana Cristina Valle, ex-wife of Jair Bolsonaro, at R$ 1.427 million, an amount almost twice less than the value of the property declared by her to the TSE.
The number refers to the so-called “venal value”, a price estimate made by the government to calculate taxes such as the IPTU. Usually, the market value is less than the market value of the property.
The number appears in the property register with the Department of Economy of the DF, to which the column had access. Based on this market value, the property tax collected in 2022 was R$ 4.2 thousand.

As the column revealed, Ana Cristina informed the TSE that she is the owner of a mansion with 800 square meters of built area located in Lago Sul, a prime area of Brasília. She declared that the property would be worth R$ 829 thousand.
It is the same house that the ex-wife of the current president of the Republic informed Uol and Veja magazine that she had rented to live with her son, Jair Renan, from mid-June 2021.
Although she claims to be the owner of the house, her name is not on the property certificates registered in the 1st Office of Real Estate Registration of the DF or in the system of the Secretary of Economy of the DF.
In both cases, the mansion remains registered in the name of Geraldo Antônio Machado, who bought the property for R$2.9 million in June 2021, the same month he rented the house to Ana Cristina.
Wanted, Bolsonaro’s ex-wife and her lawyer did not respond.
