The PMRR (Military Police of Roraima) carried out this Tuesday, 30th, the implementation of a fixed police detachment in the riverside community of Caicubi, in the Baixo Rio Branco region, in the municipality of Caracaraí, in the south of the state.
The opening ceremony was attended by the interior police commander, Lieutenant Colonel Carla Meneses, as well as officers and soldiers from the division and residents of Caicubi.
The presence of the Military Police in the community meets an old desire of the population. The communities of Baixo Rio Branco already had the presence of military police in the community of Santa Maria do Boiaçu, in Rorainópolis, but they did not have this new reinforcement, considering that they are in a place further south of Roraima, close to the border with the Amazon. .
After a feasibility survey, PMRR intensified preventive actions in this region of the state, bringing more security to the population of the more than 20 communities present there.
“The implementation of this policing in this very important region of our state is a milestone for the Military Police and for public security in Roraima. With the implementation, the PM reinforces the capillarity and guarantees order in the riverside communities up to the Rio Negro”, declared the commander general of the PMRR, Colonel Francisco Xavier.
across the state
Created 46 years ago, the Military Police of Roraima has made a great effort to bring public security to the four corners of the state. In Baixo Rio Branco, the institution works preventively in communities, transport routes and surroundings of the region, as well as rivers and streams.
“We will act preventively, we seek to avoid the occurrence of crimes and in a repressive way, when we are faced with the crime in flagrante delicto. Our police aim to curb all types of crime, but the region is very vulnerable to environmental crimes and drug trafficking, so the fight against these types of crimes will be intensified”, stressed Xavier.
