Next to Zema, candidate for the Senate is called a ‘bandit’ and ‘mafioso’ in Minas

A video of a man who criticizes the candidate for the Federal Senate, Marcelo Aro (PP), during a walk alongside Governor Romeu Zema (Novo), candidate for reelection, circulates on social media. The joint agenda between the candidates was in Governador Valadares, last Monday (29).

During the criticism, the man spares governor Romeu Zema, but says that alongside Marcelo Aro, the reelection campaign will fail. The video, which has some parts with low quality audio, shows that the citizen calls Aro a “bandit” and a mafioso”.

“Governor, welcome to Governador Valadares, we support you, Romeu, since 2018, do you know that? I know that you have taken Minas out of the ticket, but the one on your side, Marcelo Aro, this is a bandit, this is a mafioso, a mafioso from the partisan background. Your campaign will fail alongside Marcelo Aro. I know that the governor is fighting corruption, but he is on the side of a corrupt member of the monthly allowance, he is on the side of a thief. Governor, you will fall your campaign walking next to a bandit”, says the man in the recorded excerpt.

Alongside supporters, Aro and Zema walked along an avenue in the center of Governador Valadares, where they fulfilled campaign commitments. Through social networks, the two candidates have released the slogan “ZemAro”, to boost the double.

For Marcelo Aro, the act, which he treated as provocation, is the manifestation of a single individual wanting to appear.
