A man was arrested on suspicion of attempted femicide against his partner during a horse ride in Colméia in Tocantins. According to the Public Security Secretariat (SSP), the suspect was carrying a firearm with an expired license and will be charged with threats and physical assault.

According to the SSP, witnesses said that it all started with a disturbance on a public street between the suspect and other people who were at the scene. At that moment he allegedly threatened those involved with a firearm.

The suspect’s companion allegedly tried to intervene in the fight and ended up being threatened and physically attacked. According to witnesses, she was found lying in another location and was taken to a municipal health unit.

According to the SSP, reports also indicate that the suspect tried to interfere with the medical care that was being provided to his partner, causing turmoil in the hospital environment.

Given the seriousness of the situation, the Military Police (PM) was called to contain the suspect, who had allegedly disrespected and threatened the military, which resulted in his arrest in the act. O g1 tries to contact his defense.

During the arrest, the police verified that the suspect’s gun permit had expired. Therefore, the weapons were handed over to the Civil Police, which investigates the crimes of threats, physical aggression and attempted femicide.

The suspect is detained at the Colméia Prison Unit at the disposal of justice.
