The deadline to renegotiate debts under the conditions of the Desenrola Brasil Program expires next Monday (20) for debtors who fall into Track 1. Data from the Ministry of Finance indicate that, until last week, 14.75 million people had already renegotiated around R$51.7 billion in debt.ebc.gif?id=1594705&o=node

Starting in October 2023, Track 1 covers people with an income of up to two minimum wages or registered with CadÚnico. The stage includes debts that were negative between January 2019 and December 2022 and cannot exceed the updated value of R$20 thousand each (value of each debt before Desenrola discounts).

Through the program, defaulters have access to discounts of, on average, 83% on the value of their debts. In some situations, according to the ministry, the rebate may exceed 96% of the amount due. Payments can be made in full or in installments, with no down payment and up to 60 months to pay.

Fake news

In this final stretch of the deadline for debt renegotiation, the ministry denied two fake news circulating about the program. One of them says that, when negotiating debts through Desenrola, citizens do not lose any social benefits. Another, that the person does not have a bad name in the Central Bank systems.

“The Loan and Financing Report of the Central Bank’s Registrato system is not a restrictive registry. It displays the “consolidated statement” of bank debts, loans and financing, both what is up to date and what is overdue. This allows citizens to monitor their entire financial history in one place and protect themselves against scams.”

“Thus, the debts that are negotiated on Desenrola for payment in installments will appear in the statement issued by the Central Bank, as well as other bank debts, so that they can only be monitored by the citizen. Banks do not access people’s reports; they can only see consolidated information, when the citizen authorizes this access.”

Understand

In addition to bank debts such as credit cards, late bills for educational establishments, energy, water, telephone and retail trade can also be negotiated. The Desenrola platform allows you to split renegotiations even with banks where the person does not have an account, allowing you to choose the one that offers the best rate in the installment payment option.

For those who have two or more debts, even with different creditors, it is possible to combine all debts and carry out a single negotiation, paying in cash in a single bill or PIX, or financing the total amount at your preferred bank.

To access Desenrola, you must have a Gov.br account. Users of all account types — bronze, silver and gold — can view trading offers and split payments. If the citizen chooses partner channels, there is no need to use the Gov.br account
