MS receives expansion of essential services through the New PAC

Mato Grosso do Sul will benefit from the Federal Government’s New Growth Acceleration Program (PAC), which will benefit mothers and guardians of children and adolescents in Mato Grosso do Sul. With a contribution of more than R$ 15.7 billion allocated to works and equipment across the country, PAC Seleções brings special attention to the State, which will have 47 cities benefiting from new infrastructure.

Among the projects announced for the MS are the construction of two new maternity hospitals and a natural birth center, in addition to 30 daycare centers and 16 full-time schools. The initiative also includes the delivery of 24 school buses and the creation of three community spaces equipped with playgrounds, totaling 76 essential works and equipment.

These investments are part of a broader effort to improve the quality of life of families, from prenatal care to the end of elementary school, in 2,400 Brazilian municipalities.

National – In the country, PAC Seleções plans to implement 36 maternity hospitals and 30 natural birth centers, in addition to more than a thousand daycare centers and children’s schools and 685 full-time schools.

The project is particularly important in regions that face high rates of maternal mortality and socioeconomic vulnerability, with the goal of reducing maternal mortality in Brazil to 30 deaths per 100,000 births by 2030.

Furthermore, PAC Seleções was designed in collaboration with states and municipalities, which indicated priority areas for investment. The objective is not only to improve access to education and health, but also to reinforce infrastructure in culture, basic sanitation, water security and preservation of historical heritage.

There is a planned investment of R$1.7 trillion until after 2026.
