Party leaders draw attention to the education situation in Rio Grande do Norte

Natal/RN – During the time allocated to party leaders, in the ordinary session this Thursday (9) at the Legislative Assembly of Rio Grande do Norte, deputies José Dias (PSDB) and Luiz Eduardo (SDD) spoke and focused on Education , a topic debated in the specific committee shortly before the session, and which discussed the high number of teachers outside the classroom.

“Bodies should not request it, much less the Government should grant it,” said José Dias, highlighting that his mandate will remain without providing support to the executive.

He referred to the opposition’s obstruction in voting on projects of interest to the State, stating that he will only change his position when the Government passes on the parliamentarians’ amendments.

Representative Luiz Eduardo stated, on the issue of teachers seconded to other bodies, that he will never request a teacher for his office.

He also responded to speeches by parliamentarians from the government bench on other issues, such as the case of the ICMS vote.

The deputy denied that the Government is facing difficulties due to the fact that the Assembly overturned the executive’s project, which maintained the ICMS rate at 20%, reducing it to 18%. “The State raised more,” said Luiz Eduardo.
